XIAO Wei is a member of the Party Committee, Standing Committee, and Vice President of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University. He holds a Doctorate in Medicine, the title of Researcher, and is a postgraduate supervisor. He is a national-level young Qihuang scholar, the leader of the Guangdong Provincial Innovative Team for the Integration of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in Nephrology, and an outstanding young talent of the Guangdong Provincial Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. He also serves as Deputy Chairman of the 9th Council of the Guangdong Provincial Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, a member of the Teaching Steering Committee for Clinical Medicine of Chinese and Western Medicine under the Ministry of Education, and a member of the 7th Council of the National Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. He is Vice Chairman of the Special Committee on Basic Research of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the Prevention and Treatment of Major Diseases of the Chinese Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine and Chairman of the Committee for the Prevention and Treatment of Collateral Diseases of the Guangdong Provincial Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. In recent years, he has hosted four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, eight projects funded by provincial and municipal funds, and published more than 60 research papers as the first author or corresponding author (including 17 SCI papers). He has received one second prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine and one first and second prize of the Guangdong Provincial Teaching Achievement Award. He has edited two books as the chief editor and four books as the deputy chief editor.

He is in charge of the Personnel Department (Teachers' Work Department, Teachers' Development Center), Office of Discipline Construction, Chigang Campus Office, Office of Science and Technology (Office of Industrial and Social Services), Graduate School, Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, New Drug Development Center, Key Provincial and above Laboratories (Research Rooms, Engineering Centers), and Science and Technology Enterprise Incubator. He serves as the contact person for the School of Clinical Pharmacy (Integrated College of Pharmacy, Integrated Institute of Pharmacy).
