Li Chuyuan, Party Secretary and Chairman of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group, Led the Delegation to Visit Our Yunfu Campus Inspection and Research

On May 4, 2023, Party Secretary and Chairman of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group, Li Chuyuan, and his delegation visited our campus in Yunfu for inspection and research They were accompanied by Lu Rongchun, Secretary of Yunfu Municipal Party Committee, and Wang Wei, Deputy Mayor. Our Vice President, Li Jincheng, represented the university in welcoming the guests.

During the visit, Li Chuyuan and his team focused on the inspection and research of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the jointly established Chinese Medicinal Germplasm Resource Bank by Yunfu Municipal Government and our university. In the exhibition hall of the germplasm bank, Li Chuyuan and Lu Rongchun received a briefing on the design and progress of the bank. Li Chuyuan expressed that Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group and Yunfu have a solid foundation for cooperation in the health industry and ample room for further collaboration. The Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group Yunfu Campus serves as a vital talent support for the development of southern herbal medicine and the health industry in Yunfu. He emphasized the importance of scientific planning for the Chinese medicinal germplasm resource bank, focusing on in-depth research and development of southern herbal medicine, achieving representative achievements, and establishing it as an important base for the integration of education, research, and industry in Chinese medicinal germplasm resources. This would contribute to the advancement of China's modernization in Guangdong.

Lu Rongchun also pointed out that Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group has strong capabilities in terms of capital, technology, talent, and market, making it an important partner in supporting the development of the biopharmaceutical industry in Yunfu city. The establishment of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group in Yunfu city has become a significant scientific research platform and talent cultivation base for the southern herbal medicine industry. He expressed the hope that the collaboration between the government, university, and enterprise will be strengthened to jointly promote the high-quality development of the southern herbal medicine industry in Yunfu city.
